Pipeline Scheduler
Third Coast is an offshore focused midstream company headquartered in Houston, Texas. Our operations are primarily located along the Gulf Coast and deep-water producing regions in the Gulf of Mexico. We're seeking a local candidate for a Pipeline Scheduler role in our Lighthouse Midstream Services division. The Scheduler, working a hybrid schedule at our downtown office and remotely, is responsible for daily gas scheduling including nominations, allocations, and confirmations for designated interstate and intrastate pipelines.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Interface with shippers and interconnecting pipelines for nominations, nomination changes and confirmations.
- Ensure confirmed nominations are accurately reflected in the system for each nomination cycle.
- Work with shippers, interconnecting pipelines, and gas control to minimize imbalances.
- Prepare final scheduled volumes for use by Operations Control, partners, clients and internal management.
- Confirm final monthly totals for nominations and allocated volumes are consistent with that of interconnecting pipelines.
- Prepare accurate and timely month end close for areas of responsibility.
- Maintaining positive relationships with the shipper community.
- Monitor interconnecting pipeline IPWSs for the issuance of OFOs and communicate to shippers and Operations Control
- Ensure all scheduled volumes are within operational capacities.
- Work closely with schedulers and Business Systems personnel on testing for system enhancements, configuration, and transitions.
- Work accommodating rotating hours to meet customer needs and ensure that all NAESB/FERC nomination cycles are adequately staffed.
- Provide on-call and back-up (on a rotating basis) support to ensure scheduling coverage on night/weekends.
- Work flexible hours, as needed, in the event of a project start-up and/or emergency upset.
- Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Works in an office environment.
- Hybrid schedule of three days a week located in the downtown Houston office and two days a week working remotely.
- This role must be able to sit and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
Education and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Gas Scheduling.
- College degree preferred in business, logistics, or other related discipline.
- Knowledge and understanding of industry terminology.
- Must be familiar with Pipeline Tariffs, pipeline rules and NAESB/FERC regulations.
- Familiarity with IPWSs of major interstate and intrastate pipelines as it relates to scheduling and confirming gas.
- Knowledge of the Quorum application is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel; Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong customer service skills as position is the day-to-day “face” to the customer community.
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented.
- Flexible and adaptable to rapid and continuous changes in the work environment; team player.
- Ability to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
